TGP Expense App – Privacy Policy

Effective October 10, 2026

This policy covers the TGP Expense App (“the app”). The app is a private tool used only by the owners of TGP to log business expenses. It does not cover the rest of this website.

Information the app accesses

When you sign in with Google and grant access, the app uses:

  • Google Drive data: the receipt images, screenshots and PDFs in the Drive folders configured for the app, together with their file names, upload dates and the email address of the account that uploaded them.
  • Google Sheets data: the contents of the expense spreadsheet configured for the app.

The app does not access email, contacts, calendars, or any Drive files outside the configured folders and spreadsheet.

How the information is used

The app uses this information only to:

  • read the purchase details (date, amount, merchant, location, items, payment card’s last four digits, order number) from each receipt,
  • write those details as a row in our expense spreadsheet,
  • rename the receipt file and move it to a “processed” folder in our Drive.

Receipt images are analyzed by an AI model running on our own computer. They are not sent to any third-party AI service.

Storage and security

  • Receipt files and the spreadsheet stay in our own Google Drive.
  • The app stores its Google sign-in token only on our studio computer. That computer is access-controlled, and the token is never shared.
  • The app keeps no other copies of receipt images, except temporary copies made while an image is being processed, which are deleted right afterward.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent or share Google user data with anyone. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models. Data is transferred only if the law requires it.

Google API Services User Data Policy

The TGP Expense App’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Removing access

You can revoke the app’s access at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking access stops the app immediately. Files and spreadsheet rows it already created remain in your Drive until you delete them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
